However, some things at Wal-Mart can be overpriced. Saving money at Wal-Mart is an easy task if you know do it properly.

1. Look for things that are on sale. Every department in Wal-Mart has something on sale each week. You particular brand might not be on sale, so purchase the item that is similar to your common brand name that is on sale that week. Compare prices and choose the cheapest product that you are comfortable using.


2. Bring in the ads from other competitor stores. Wal-Mart will meet and beat any other store's prices on the same exact product. Sometimes, this will save you a lot of money. Walmart pledges to always be the cheapest store for the things you need most.


3. Compare items in the store. Wal-Mart always has more than one type of each item in their store. Choose the cheaper of the products. This will help you save some money.


4. Buy the "Sams" products. These are actually Wal-Mart brand name items. They are always cheaper than the original brand names. Many medications, foods and beauty products are available in the "Sams" products. They are very comparable to the actual brand name.


5. Bring coupons. If you are shopping at Super Wal-Mart, you can use coupons on food, beauty products and other common useful items throughout the store.


6. Shop Wal-Mart online. Many times things on the Wal-Mart Web site are cheaper than they are in the actual store.
