Sending your business card over the web is an inexpensive and immediate way to market your business. By sending your business cards over the web as a PDF file, you can share your contact information with prospective clients or customers in a compatible format for anyone to open and view. Upload your business cards to your computer and save them as a PDF file so they are accessible and so you can send them at anytime.
Instructions
Mac OS X
1. Scan the business cards using your scanner and save it to your computer's hard drive. Your scanned business cards will be saved to the "My Pictures" folder.
2. Click on the "Macintosh HD" and select "Pictures." Double click on your business card files.
3. Click on "File" then, "Save As..." and save the file as "Business Cards" or any other name of your preference.
4. Click on the drop down menu next to "Format" and select "PDF" to save your business card in PDF format. Click "Save" to complete the conversion and to upload your business cards as a PDF file. With the Mac OS X operating system, you can create a PDF file from almost any application on the system.
5. Click on the PDF file to view your business cards that you have just uploaded.
Windows
6. Sign up for a free account with Adobe Acrobat if you do not already have an Adobe Acrobat account.
7. Scan the business card using your scanner, save it to your scanned documents and open Adobe Acrobat. Click on "Create PDF." This will populate the box to create a PDF file. Click on "Pick file" to select your scanned business cards document.
8. Click on the administrator's name, in Adobe, and select the "Document" folder. Click on "My Scans" and select the business cards file.
9. Hover over the file with your mouse and click on the black arrow to view the menu opens and select "Create PDF."
10. Click on "File" to pick a location on your computer's hard drive to save your PDF file to. Double click the file to view your business cards that you have uploaded as a PDF file.
