Attract patrons with a visually appealing booth.
Decorate a seminar booth so it is inviting and informative to people attending the trade show. Whether you are setting up for a private seminar or a show open to the public, the booth must cater to all attendees to get your information out. The booth should be purchased in advance so that you know your location prior to the beginning of the show. In addition, take advantage of any early times available to set up, so that you and your booth are ready to go when the seminar opens for the day.
Instructions
1. Design your area so there is a front table to fill with displays or literature. The table should be easy for you and patrons of the saccess. Most seminars are set up with display booths in an aisle formation, or the booths are pressed against back walls so the center floor is open. If your booth area is large enough, consider placing a table inside the booth as well as at the front, so patrons can walk into the booth for more information or literature.
2. Lay tablecloths over any exposed tabletop. Use company logo tablecloths or purchase tablecloths in coordinating colors to your company. In addition, the tablecloths should be floor length so you can conceal any boxes or personal belongings under the booth during the seminar.
3. Hang a backdrop up along the back wall or back screen. The backdrop will display your company name to attract patrons to your booth. Use signs or posters to display the information.
4. Organize literature along the front of the booth. Depending on what your booth represents, organize the literature so it is visually appealing to patrons. The literature should be in magazine holders, clear stands, brochure holders or stacked neatly on the table. Always keep the literature in clean, neat stacks and avoid overstocking the table front. You want the literature to be visually appealing, not cluttered and chaotic. Avoid putting all your literature out at once; keep extra stock under the tables.
5. Place any displays or samples on the table near your seat. You want to engage in conversation with the patrons; therefore, when someone asks for a sample or has a question about a display, you are in place to answer them. In addition, keep breakable displays near the back of the booth, or consider hanging posters instead of a tangible display.
6. Keep the area clean during the seminar. If food or drinks are being served and people leave them at your booth, dispose of them immediately. This will keep your area tidy and safe.
