Fix the Contrast
1. Push the button labeled "2nd."
2. Push and hold the up arrow button to darken the screen.
3. Push and hold the down arrow button to lighten the screen.
Getting Rid of the Checkerboard Cursor
4. Delete some characters to return the checkerboard cursor to the regular cursor. The checkerboard cursor may have appeared because you entered the maximum amount of allowed characters.
5. Press "2nd" then "MEM."
6. Push "2" to delete some items stored in your memory. The checkerboard cursor may have appeared because your memory is full.
Fixing an Error Message
7. Write down the name of the error.
8. Press "2." The number two corresponds to the "Go to" action.
9. Read the error code and follow the onscreen instructions.
