The TI-30Xa is not a full-fledged graphing calculator; it is a scientific calculator capable of completing advanced mathematical equations. The TI-30Xa runs on lithium batteries. If your calculator suddenly will not turn on, your batteries may need to be changed.
Instructions
1. Turn over your calculator so that you can see the back of the unit's case. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the cover to the battery compartment. Remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Remove the existing batteries in your calculator.
3. Push your new batteries into the open compartment. The side of each battery with the "+" symbol should be facing upward toward you.
4. Slide a small object like a penny across the pad labeled "Reset" on the inside of the battery compartment. This pad is connected to the calculator circuit board. Reinstall the battery compartment cover and using the screws you previously removed.
5. Turn your calculator over so that you can see the front of the device. Press the "Off" button one time and the "On" button two times to turn on your calculator.
