Suggestions For Medical Pamphlets

Whether you need a brochure for a doctor's office, a public health department or a school, creating brochures that highlight medical services or school or community initiatives such as free screenings or a blood drive, the process for creating professional looking brochures is a fairly simple one.

Models

Use models or volunteers who are willing to pose for photos to be used in your brochure. If you are trying to get people interested in donating blood, then an unusual or even humorous brochure might be one way to attract attention from the public. For example, consider having a photo of a smiling grandmotherly figure holding out a delicious cookie with a clearly seen band aid on her arm.

Give Them Facts

Try a serious approach that will hit home. If, for instance, you want to create a brochure aimed at deterring cigarette smoking among teens then showing the real-life effects of smoking can be a strong way to get your message across. One approach could be to present the story of a teen who has seen the devastating consequences on a loved one firsthand. Then offer the statistics to back up the personal story. But don't overdo it. You want them to actually read the material.

Give Reasons to Use the Product or Service

When your brochure is meant to highlight medical services, consider a firsthand account of satisfied patient's can be helpful. Remember to offer potential clients with the benefits of you procedure or service your company or office provides. For instance, if your office provides plastic surgery, then highlighting the doctor's qualifications and experience, as well as that of the staff, is important.

Logos and Branding

If you don't already have one you can use, create your own unique logo for your business and place it prominently on the brochure. The logo and the color scheme for the brochure should be consistent through the brochure, since this helps create a"brand" image.
