Program A Advertising

Web-based banner advertisements, or banner ads, may contain images, video, audio or flash animation. While some are static, others redirect visitors to the advertiser's website when clicked on. Banner ads should be as eye-catching and visually-appealing as possible.

Instructions

1. Find a program to create your banner ad. Simply perform an Internet search for "banner ad maker" and you will find numerous websites to help you create a banner ad. Each program is unique so you will want to spend some time exploring your options to find the best program to meet your needs, skill level and preferences. The amount of control you will have over the look and feel of your banner will depend on the program you choose. Some allow you to build it from scratch, choosing the dimensions and adding your own images, colors, fonts, etc., while others start with a basic template or theme and ask you to fill in the blanks. Keep in mind that some programs are more advanced than others, so be sure to choose one that you're comfortable with and fits your skill level.

2. Create your banner ad. Follow the prompts on the website to customize your banner ad. Most websites will ask you to choose a size, upload a background image and add text and/or special effects. When designing your banner ad, keep your target audience in mind. For instance, if you're creating an ad for a pet store, you may want to include an image of a cat or dog playing.

3. Generate HTML code. When you are finished designing your ad, the website will generate HTML code, which you will need to post your ad on the Internet. Make sure to save the HTML code to your computer for safe keeping.

4. Place your ad on the Internet. Simply cut and paste the HTML code to post your banner ad to social networking websites, company homepages or wherever you'd like to advertise on the Internet.
