Send A Fax To Canada

Sending a fax to Canada from the United States is not as difficult as it may at first seem. Rather than dialing the international prefix and country code as when calling overseas, to call Canada, all that is required is to dial in the same pattern as if you were calling to a different U.S. state.

Instructions

1. Websites such as Faxzero will enable you to send faxes through your computer. You just have to fill out the fax form. Be sure to include your e-mail address so that the website will let you know when the fax goes through.

2. You can also send a document from directly from your computer to your fax machine, which saves on paper, if you have fax software or fax print drivers installed.

3. When putting in the actual number, you will need to dial a one, the area code, then the actual number, just like you would for long distance calls in the United States. This is because it is part of the North American Numbering Plan. There are websites that enable you to look up the area codes in case you have any questions about that.

4. Include all of your personal information: your name, your address and your own fax number so that your contact will be able to get back to you.
