Instructions
1. Use a fax service online like Free Fax (see Resouces below) or a computer program designed to deliver your fax in a PDF format to your recipient's email. These services allow different options, like scanning your information into a file or typing your message online in the provided space. Most services require a valid email address.
2. Hook a fax machine to any phone jack and send your fax free as long as you call locally or use a toll-free number. To fax free using a fax machine, ask for a toll free number if you're faxing to a long distance location.
3. Use VOIP technology to send your fax through a fax machine. Route the fax through an Internet fax adaptor that connects your fax machine to your VIOP service. Some companies, like Fax Digits, offer free VOIP services for faxing.
4. Borrow a fax machine if you don't have Internet access or a fax machine. Talk with your friends to see if they have a fax machine you can use. Church offices may let you send free faxes as part of their benevolence work.
