Send Your Money Cash Online

Transfer money online from one account to another with just a few clicks.


Thanks to electronic banking, you no longer have to wait in line or use an ATM to transfer money between your accounts. Now, you can send cash instantly online, between accounts at the same bank, and you can even transfer money online between banks.


Instructions


Transferring Money Between Accounts within the Same Bank


1. Launch the website of your financial institution (bank or credit union, for example).


2. Register for online banking. You will need the name on the account, registered address and phone number, account number, and any security information you provided upon opening your account, such as the last four digits of yoru Social Security number, date of birth, PIN number and security question answers.


3. Choose a login name and password. Record both in a secure location for future reference.


4. Log in to your online bank account. You will see all the accounts you hold within that financial institution--checking, savings, money market; you may have more than one of each.


5. Click "Transfer," select the account you want to transfer from, then select the account you want to transfer to, and enter the amount.


6. Click "submit" or your bank's equivalent. The funds will be transferred immediately.


Transferring Money Between Accounts in Different Banks


7. Launch the websites of both financial institutions (bank or credit union, for example).


8. Register for online banking with both financial institutions. You will need the name on each account, registered address and phone number, account numbers, and any security information you provided upon opening each account, such as the last four digits of your Social Security number, date of birth, PIN number and security question answers. This security information may differ between banks depending on how you set them up when opening them.


9. Choose a login name and password for each bank. Record both in a secure location for future reference.


10. Decide which bank you want to transfer money from and which bank you want to transfer money to. Log in to either bank, and click "Transfer." (The location of the "Transfer" button will differ with each bank but will be promininetly displayed once you log in.)


11. Select the account you want to transfer from, then select the account you want to transfer to, and enter the amount. Click "submit" or your bank's equivalent. The funds will transfer usually in three to five days. Consult your bank for details.
