Write an Event Advisory
An event advisory is just another name for a media advisory or press release. These advisories allow a group or company to communicate with the public by detailing an event in just a few words. Writing such an advisory is very simple.
Instructions
1. Explain what the event is by giving a brief introduction of the event to the reader. This should be limited to one line, but should also include language that will attract the reader and impress upon him to read the entire document. It is the most important section of the document.
2. List who the keynote speakers or the event chairman is. This line of the event advisory should let everyone know who they can expect to see at this event.
3. Announce the date and the time of the event. Spell the date out. Many people get confused when a month is written as a number.
4. Express where this gala event will take place. If it is not a well-known facility in the area, include the address and phone number to the place as well.
5. Explain to the readers in a brief paragraph why this event is taking place. Most event advisories announce a fundraiser or charitable event in this section of the document.
6. Inform the public who the contact person is for this event. At least two phone numbers should be listed, as well as an web addresses that may be important. Information regarding how much tickets are or, if the event is free to the public should also be listed in this section.
