Study Sage Accounting

You can use your Sage accounting skills to help your clients.


Sage accounting is a type of accounting done with Sage Peachtree software. If you have Sage Peachtree Accounting software, you can use it to do your own accounting or bookkeeping, or to do accounting and bookkeeping for your clients or business associates. But first, you need to learn to use Sage Peachtree Accounting software correctly.


Instructions


1. Purchase the accounting software that best meets your needs from the Sage Peachtree website or from your local computer or department store. Get the newest, most up-to-date version of the software.


2. Install the software on your computer. Then choose "Guide" to launch the software demonstration that teaches you do Sage Peachtree Accounting. Read through the demonstration pages, clicking forward each time you finish a page. Watch the tutorial videos as they appear in the demonstration.


3. Read the paper manual that comes with the program if you purchase it in a store. The actual program guide is a printed version, which you can read over and over again until you have the knowledge it takes to do Sage Peachtree Accounting.


4. Go to the Sage Peachtree site and click on "Support and Training." Then choose "Education and Training." Options for learning your Sage Peachtree Accounting software include signing up for classes at SageU, an online school dedicated to learning Sage software. Follow the link and sign up for tutorials on the site. The site offers both "Anytime Learning" and "Realtime Learning" options. "Anytime Learning" allows you to access tutorials for different accounting procedures. "Realtime Learning" allows you to participate in chats and message boards with Sage Learning professionals.


5. Click on the "Education and Training" link again for more choices. Choose the "Education Program" to read about Sage Peachtree's opportunities for on-site instruction to businesses. Apply for these services if you are interested.


6. Click on "Basics for New Users" on the "Education and Training" page to view a 35-minute webinar on use the Sage Peachtree Accounting system.


7. Click on "Self-Study Guides" or "Accounting Tutorial on CD-ROM" on the "Education and Training" page. You can click through a series of titles and read the self-study guides or you can order the CD-ROM through the mail and run it on your computer. Both allow you to learn Sage Peachtree Accounting.


8. Click on "Local Training" on the "Education and Training" page. This link takes you to a list of specially trained Peachtree employees in your area whom you can call, write, email, or visit to learn more about Sage Accounting.
